We are thrilled to announce that Commetric has won two prestigious DataComms Awards for 2023.
We were honoured with a Silver award in the Best Data Insight from a Global Communications Campaign (one-off) category and a Bronze award for Best Use of Data to Assist Reputation Management.
The first accolade acknowledges our work with EY on understanding brand positioning and opportunities in the post-COVID digital transformation sector. EY adopted a ‘listen and learn’ approach, aiming to comprehend their brand’s positioning, share, and key stakeholders within the digital transformation conversation across key markets.
The second award applauds Commetric’s partnership with the Institute of Molecular and Clinical Ophthalmology Basel (IOB) in communicating scientific breakthroughs during the global pandemic. In May 2021, Nature Medicine published research on partial recovery of visual function in a blind patient after optogenetic therapy co-led by IOB Director Prof Botond Roska. Despite the challenge of capturing audience attention during the pandemic, Commetric aided IOB by gathering data from various channels to weave a compelling story of success. We analysed earned news and social mentions, digital performance, and internet search data to identify outputs, outtakes, and outcomes.
The awards ceremony took place at the boutique Grubstreet Author in London’s Barbican. In only its second year, the DataComms Awards continue to recognise and celebrate the innovative application of data across various sectors, focusing on its role in shaping corporate reputation, brand definition and PR strategy.

Congratulations to all!
